Blizzards

Blizzard is the name given to a snowstorm, with heavy snowfall and usually with strong winds.

It is produced mainly in mountainous areas of high altitudes or high latitudes. Snowfalls occur when snow falls in a drier form, making melting difficult and facilitating rapid accumulation.

In general, snowfall is considered a severe weather condition characterized by low temperatures, with winds of 56 km / h or more, heavy snow and wind in the air, restricting visibility to only 400 meters or less, lasting at least three hours

Heavy snowfall is characterized by temperatures of -12.2 ° C or below, winds exceeding 72 km / h and reduced visibility to almost zero.
